Welcome to The Emerald Lux. Placed in the heart of the Short North, this speakeasy themed cocktail bar was created to be an escape from reality that brings you into a luxurious, and memorable experience. Whether you're enjoying a drink for happy hour, or having a late night hang with friends, the Emerald Lux will make you feel exclusive.
When entering the space, you are exposed to several different seating options including a sofa, community table, a wine bar, the main bar, and so many others. Along with these spaces is a private seating area inset in the wall, creating a moment of pause and privacy. Following the hall to the back of the space is the more private and intimate space. This area includes a smaller bar along the back wall and a few cozy seating areas to elevate the exclusive feeling of the space.
Among the space you will find those photo worthy moments with custom signage and lighting that will entice you and everyone else to come and try the Emerald Lux.
There is a variety of lighting in this space depending on where you are. The first half of the space is the brighter of the two, staying at a color temperature of 3150K and being more inviting to the outside world and reflecting light against the variety of materials. There is a use of chandeliers and sconces in the space bringing the extra brightness, along with a glow coming from the bar, this will be underneath the countertop and backlighting the shelves behind the bar. The drop ceiling above the bar will also feature this glow to bring attention to the seating areas.
In the front, the eyes are going to adjust to the semi-dim lighting, whereas following the dark into the back will create an even deeper sense of privacy and comfort to feel like a true VIP experience. While being decoration, the lights all contribute to the overall ambiance, and way finding of the space.
The second space will have a color temperature of 2700K, bringing a warmer feel to the space. The same application of a glow will be featured in the back, with an addition of a few chandeliers to add a subtle brightness to the seating areas. With the bar being the focal point of the space, this is where the most light will be produced with the LED glow, table tops, and chandelier. With the added darkness, the space feels more intimate and even more exclusive than the front space.
