This project focused on higher education design. We had a list of buildings on our very own campus and specific areas in that building that we would have to redesign. I chose Hayes Hall, which is our design building. When re-designing this space, I took into consideration the existing conditions, thoughts from other classmates, and what would make this space more inspiring. I brought in color, texture, and a new floor plan to take what the space has to offer and make it a motivating and enjoyable space to work in, holding so many creative individuals.

Lobby of Hayes, first view when you enter the building. A semi-private space to connect with classmates or to work on an assignment.

More private work area, for group work.
I made the decision to have different design concepts with the first floor and the basement, the first floor being a more colorful and energetic space to promote creativity, whereas the basement is a space where you can unwind, and work quietly in a more relaxing space. This includes a change of color palette, material and furniture.
